The Young Economist's Journal is an Australian high school journal where students can explore and express their passion for Economics by writing articles on topics of their choice. Therefore, this is an opportunity for high school students to engage with the field beyond their curriculum and gain the skills required to have a deeper understanding of the world around them.

 

One new issue is published at the start of every Australian school term and every article is reviewed and edited by the Board. The winner of each issue receives an experential prize from the Treasury at the end of the year.

Issue One

Article submissions for the first issue of The Young Economist's Journal are now OPEN and will close at the end of 11th January, 2026. Submission guidelines and details can be found below as well as the submission portal:
